<DM> Roll call! * Sam bleeds. * Erias twitches. * Fordran flees. * Vita runs away * Apol licks blood off it's lips. <Foster> Foster is a small humanish person, looking slightly wounded and a bit exhausted. * McMartin drinks tea? <DM> Let me give everyone BM links * Fordran is amused by the quaintness of Battlemat 1.0. <Vita> heehee <Foster> Code more serious. :p <Erias> I added fog of war! It mostly worked before I gave up! * Sam stands, er, sits, er, lies ready. <Fordran> (okay, BM 1.5 will look largely the same for clients.) <DM> Last week, on Ohshitohshitwe'reallgonnadie: <DM> <DM> The Makumar to Apol's west falls over, asleep. <Vita> Now *that* is a good episode name <DM> <DM> The Makumar sliced by Grith runs for the gate. <DM> <DM> The other one howls at the fleeing one, while dragging the large silver corpse for the gate <Fordran> (episode name? i was thinking Campaign name) * DM changes topic to 'ECLIPSE | Vita (21), Sam (21), Erias (19), Grith (19), Fordran (4), Foster (3), Apol (3)' <DM> -> Vita * Vita continues running...? <Fordran> (a sound plan) <DM> Same direction? Or away from the camp? <Vita> (I think I was technically off the map) <Vita> Oh, yeah, back away from the camp <DM> Yes, but you were running to the right <DM> Ok. * Vita requests some sort of move <DM> Add Pup's speed x4 to your N-S axis distance <DM> -> Sam <DM> Is Sam still unconscious? <Sam> (best as i know, yes) <Vita> (I did actually request a move, by the way) <DM> -> Erias <DM> (V: ok) <Erias> (sorry.) <DM> Pup, with Vita clinging on for dear life, comes bounding back at high speed in the other direction * Erias snarls and takes a step toward the sleeping Makumar. Requesting move.) <Fordran> (you can still craft an item if you're a god!) <Erias> "Run, damn it!" <Erias> (done) <Foster> "Finish that one off before we go, no sense making pursuit any easier than it is." <Erias> (note there are two still up and outside the gates, iirc) <DM> You crack a bleeding head wound on the sleeping Makumar, and it groans in pain as it is jarred awake. <Foster> (They're fleeing inside, as far as I know) <DM> Grith scoops up the unconscious form of Sam, and begins hauling ass after Vita. <DM> -> Fordran <Fordran> (how injured does foster look?) <Foster> (He looks like he's been injured, but not seriously.) <Fordran> (hmm. away is West, eh?) <DM> (That's right) * Fordran summons a glowy mace in the hopes of getting the Makumar to attack instead of him and Foster, starts heading north and then west around the nearby Makumar, yelling, "Quickly, Foster!" <DM> (Suddenly, a roaming Mesmer jumps out of a tree and casts Backfire on Fordran) <Fordran> (move requested, such that he's not taking any AoO's. 40' movement.) <Fordran> (I have Backfire on me!) <Erias> (there are nearby makumar?) <Fordran> (3 near foster) <Foster> (er. the currently extant makumar is up by Erias) <Foster> (the 3 near me are bbqed) <Sam> (I'm casting Shatter Hex on Fordran!) <Erias> (note the black squares) <Fordran> (oh, i thought they weren't dead yet.) <Vita> (ohhh those aren't dead yet!) <DM> (There are no live Makumar near you, Fordran. I'll let you select move again) <Vita> (they they are.) <Erias> (good point, they don't actually say "corpse" like the other ones) <Fordran> (in that case, ignore that first part, and double move west.) <Fordran> (requested.) <DM> (Resubmit move) <DM> (ok) <Fordran> (still with the yelling.) <DM> -> Foster <Fordran> (see, i saw Charred Makumar, which is != Makumar Corpse) <DM> (Episode context lost a month ago I guess) * Foster concentrates for a moment, unleashing the might of his brain on the groggy makumar, and legs it the way the rest are fleeing. <DM> |roll d20+5 <tafal> 16 | [d20=11] [+5=5] (DM) <Foster> |roll 8d10 <tafal> 36 | [8d10=36] (Foster) <DM> Blood and cranial fluid spray from the fractured skull onto Erias and the surrounding undergrowth. <Fordran> (ew) <Erias> "He was mine, you son of a whore!" <Foster> "Argue later, move now." <Fordran> (since when did paladins have Rage?) <DM> -> Apol <Foster> (Erias has anger management issues) <Fordran> (tactical mastery prereqs 4tw) <McMartin> (tactical mastery has anger management issues as a prereq?) <Foster> (other way around) * Apol looks mildly shocked at the outbursts but just stuffs the bleeding heart into it's pack and flys towards Grith. <Erias> (That's Apol, always looking after the bleeding-hearts) <Apol> (mm-hmm) <McMartin> (*takes 1d4 Pun Damage direct to Will*) <Sam> (zomg typical taxachusetts commie librul) <DM> The Makumar closest to the gate gets inside, the other one manages to drag the silver corpse another 15 feet. <DM> A general commotion can be heard from inside the gates. <DM> -> Vita <Vita> "Run before more of them get here!" * Vita runs off the battlemat <Vita> (well, rides) <Vita> (done) <DM> (ZONING...) <DM> -> Erias <Foster> (Tip: Bring friends when fighting large groups of elite monsters.) <Fordran> (Tip: A priest, a paladin, and Varimathras walk into a bar...) <Fordran> (#L) <Sam> (bar bar bar ... ...) <Fordran> (rel rel rel ... ...) * Erias yells "Pelor!" and walks toward the closest living Makumar, hefting his mace. * Erias stops abruptly. <Erias> (done) <Foster> (you realize that the closest living makumar is directly towards their camp) <Erias> (move requested) <DM> Grith continues running, scooping up Foster along the way. (If Foster lets him) <Foster> (eh, sure.) <DM> -> Fordran <Fordran> "Erias! Let it go! We must escape!" * Fordran stops and takes time to yell that. <Fordran> (not moving) <DM> (ready action/delay action?) <Fordran> (ready action to resume moving when Erias disengages) <DM> (okay) <DM> -> Foster * Foster reaches into his bag, pulling out a vial, which he proceeds to down in one gulp. Could! Go! All! The! Yeah.) <DM> -> Vita (off screen) <Foster> (Where's my Phoenix -> Inferno -> Flame Burst? ; ;) * Vita pauses as she hears the yelling * Vita looks back <Vita> (what can Vita see?) <DM> Considering Pup's speed x4, not a whole lot. <DM> Unless you slowed down to see what was behind. * Vita yells "What the hell is going on?" * Vita stops <DM> -> Erias <Sam> (oh, this situation looks lovely.) <Erias> "Somebody get this goddamned flying rat out of my face. I'm having a moment here." * Erias looks up and sees the charging Makumar. <DM> (rofl) <Erias> "...shit!" <Fordran> (C'mon, chums! Let's vanquish some evildoers!) * Erias focuses for a moment, and flies 20' straight up. <Sam> (such language in a high-class establishment as this...!) <Foster> "You can have your hissy fit when we're safe, now run if you value your hide!" <Fordran> (Makumar begins casting Net-o-Matic.) <Apol> "I'm not a Rat!" <DM> -> Fordran (delayed) <Erias> "Come and get me... ignore the fleeing humans..." * Fordran sees Erias floating up. <Fordran> (to himself) "Oh, I hope you know what you're doing, Erias." (yelling) "Meet us at the Kumarti!" * Fordran summons a hammer in a Makumar's face, just because, and then flees 40'. <Fordran> (range: 180', current distance ~150') <Fordran> (requested move to zone) <DM> (ZONING...) <Fordran> (Tip: You can shift-click a player's name to learn more information about that player.) <DM> Grith, with a humanoid under each arm, zones. <DM> -> Foster * Retrieving #ddi info... * DM changes topic to 'ECLIPSE | Vita (21), Sam (21), Fordran (19), Erias (19), Grith (19), Foster (3), Apol (3)' * Foster rummages in his bag, pulling out the Shocking Longsword of Air Elemental Power, uses it to summon a Large Air Elemental, and instructs said elemental to prevent the 6-limbed furry creatures from pursuing us for as long as possible via tongues. <Foster> (It lasts 11 rounds. That should be enough to buy us a bit more time) <DM> *whirly whirl woosh* <DM> -> Apol * Apol turns and moves towards the advancing Makumar. Let's go, dragonkin." <Sam> (son of a bitch. work.) <Foster> (PAGER'D) * Erias flies to Apol, reaches out and attempts to grab it. <Apol> (ok) <Apol> (Apol actually doesn't like pain.) <Erias> *bamf* <DM> Erias and Apol disappear in a cloud of maroon smoke. <DM> They appear next to Vita. <Fordran> (it really was *bamf*.) <Foster> (Yes. Cape of the Mountebank is awesome) * Vita looks very, very, very surprised <Erias> (1/day but very fun.) <Fordran> (if he starts talking in German...) <DM> Grith nearly drops Sam and Foster. <DM> Grith keeps running. <Erias> "Hurensohn!" * Fordran is visibly surprised. * Vita pauses "How what ?" <Erias> "Keep going!" * Vita urges Pup on * Erias is still flying. <DM> -> Foster. <Fordran> "But... how'd you... with the going... you were there, but here now..." <Foster> "Save your breath, we can discuss this when we're safer." * Fordran shakes it off and keeps running. <McMartin> (Boggled!) <DM> (Oh, like anything surprises you anymore.) <Apol> "Thanks, Erias!" *wriggles free and flies along with the rest* <Erias> (Erias lets go) <Fordran> (*bamf* is new.) <DM> (Psionic D-Door, in the Church run) <Erias> (I got it in the loot split, just hadn't used it yet) <DM> You continue running (and riding and flying) for awhile, without sounds of pursuit. <Fordran> "Anyone know which way we're going?" * Erias drops to the ground and begins running with a move of 20' after a few minutes. <DM> After a few minutes, you hear the crash and thunder of breaking branches and furious pursuit approaching again. <Sam> (putting Sam on /follow until further notice) <Foster> "If anyone has a clever way to get us out of this, let us know. I'm all out of tricks." <Erias> "Hell." <DM> Spot checks. <Erias> |roll d20+7 <tafal> 11 | [d20=4] [+7=7] (Erias) <Foster> |roll d20+11 <tafal> 27 | [d20=16] [+11=11] (Foster) <Fordran> |roll d20+3 <tafal> 8 | [d20=5] [+3=3] (Fordran) * Fordran sees a tree. * Erias sees _leaves_ on the tree. <Apol> |roll d20+11 <tafal> 18 | [d20=7] [+11=11] (Apol) <Apol> "Hi!" <Foster> "Ahead of us, hurry!" * Apol flies forward. <Vita> |roll d20+13 <tafal> 30 | [d20=17] [+13=13] (Vita) <Vita> (sorry) <DM> As you approach, it frantically waves you to its left. <Erias> "Slow down, dammit! I can't move in this armor!" <DM> And then dives behind a bush. * Vita says "what Foster said!" <Foster> And to the left I can assume we go! <Erias> (Some of us don't know what "it" is, but we follow the others.) <Foster> (We don't have to be faster than the makumar. We only have to be faster than Erias. :P) * Fordran obediently follows Foster, as he has no better ideas. <DM> As the party makes a sharp right, somewhere in the bushes behind you, a lot of sudden, random noise begins - heavy rustling of leaves, cracking of branches, and stomping on the ground. * Apol tips a wing and flips left, right into a bush. <DM> It heads off in another direction. <DM> Another spot check. <Foster> |roll d20+11 <tafal> 30 | [d20=19] [+11=11] (Foster) <Apol> |roll d20+11 <tafal> 30 | [d20=19] [+11=11] (Apol) * Erias pauses to activate his flight again, and then speeds after the others. <Erias> |roll d20+7 <tafal> 15 | [d20=8] [+7=7] (Erias) <Fordran> |roll d20+3 <tafal> 11 | [d20=8] [+3=3] (Fordran) * Fordran notices some dirt this time. <DM> (You see Grith.) <Vita> |roll d20+13 <tafal> 24 | [d20=11] [+13=13] (Vita) * Foster clambers out of Grith's grasp and begins making his way towards a clump of foliage, trying to keep hidden as much as possible. <Vita> "Just keep following us!" (a little quieter this time) * Apol follows. <DM> <Kumarti> "Ook. Gragular Kumarti ughah." *beckon* * Erias tries to fly low to the ground and avoid hitting branches. <DM> It turns around and starts slinking through the brush. * Vita dismounts Pup and the two of them follow as quietly as possible <DM> The sounds of pursuit are noticeably absent. <Vita> (I wonder how long that air elemental lasted....) <DM> (Two rounds) <Fordran> (and if he dropped any Essence of Air) <Erias> (Gnah.) <Foster> (wow, I guess DR5 wasn't working out for him) <DM> (60 hp, 20 ac. Do the math :P) <Erias> (I was going to try to lead them north before the *bamf*, but things seemed to be getting sort of hectic.) <DM> (Though it's not supported by RAW, I guess rending an elemental is kind of unrealistic.) <DM> After a few minutes of quiet movement, your Kumarti guide speeds up. <DM> He winds around in the jungle this way and that, until the jungle begins to thin. <DM> He stops and hoots loudly, twice, then thrice in quick succession, and pauses to listen. <DM> There is some nearby hooting in return. Satisfied, he leads you to the village entrance. <DM> You are met there by the graying Kumarti and very nearly the entire village. <Foster> We are probably soot-stained and bloodsoaked. <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "The Kumar Kin have returned! Have you the heart?" <Fordran> (We didn't have the heart to tell him.) <DM> (You're heartless.) <Foster> (These puns are giving me a heart attack) <Erias> "Yeah, we beat the crap out of those guys you don't like. What do we get out of this again?" <Apol> "Oh, yes, right." *rummages around* * Fordran looks at Erias oddly. <DM> The Spirit Speaker does a double-take, sticks a finger in his ear and wiggles it. <Erias> (The speaker is clearly heart of hearing.) <DM> (The agony! It hearts!) * Apol pulls out a chunk of sinewy meat. <Erias> (That fight scene reminded me a little of Sin City. You know? With heartigan?) <DM> (Gneh.) <DM> The Spirit Speaker dances around a little, exultant. <DM> He holds out his hands towards Apol. * Apol places the heart in his hand. (unless anyone objects) <Erias> (Hopefully he'll wear it on his sleeve.) <DM> He turns, holding the heart above his head triumphantly to the villagers. * Erias looks uncomfortable, but remains silent. <DM> There is a great cheer. * Foster is too exhausted to care. * Vita looks around at her companions to see if there's something she should be doing besides standing there <DM> The crowd parts before him as he walks to the altar at the center of the village. * Fordran looks on with tired interest. <DM> (Following?) <Erias> (quietly) "...anyone else worried that we just gave these psychotic primitives some sort of item of power?" <DM> (Or standing outside?) <Foster> Following. * Erias walks forward as well. * Vita follows the others <DM> As you walk past, many furry hands reach out to touch you, reverently. * Apol licks it's fingers and it's wounds. * Vita whispers to Erias "Well, um, I guess we should have thought of that before we agreed to do it." * Erias bats them aside, twitching his shoulders away from them awkardly. <Foster> "They're not the ones that tried killing us without so much as a by-your-leave. I suspect we know what happened to the Whispering Kite's crew, in any case." * Erias hurries to the center. <Erias> "They were eaten in a cheerful kumarti ritual?" <DM> The Spirit Speaker is chanting something indecipherable (Spellcraft) over the heart, a small stone dagger in his other hand. <Foster> "You're just being paranoid now." * Erias shrugs. <DM> As he chants, the heart bursts into a purple flame that does not seem to hurt the Spirit Speaker. <Erias> "In a place like this, someone'd better be." <DM> With a quick motion, he thrusts the dagger through the heart, which disintegrates to black ash. <Foster> (You gain Spirit of Zandalar) <DM> The villagers burst into deafening hooting and cheering. <DM> Some of them run up and hug you. * Fordran flinches a little. <Erias> The hell they do. * Foster rubs his temple. * Erias makes use of his tower shield. <Fordran> (shield bash!) <Foster> "Try not to cause a scene, please." <Erias> (uh, not bashing, just blocking.) <Fordran> (don't be a pussy) <Erias> ( Erias uses the pipes. ) * Fordran doesn't make use of his spiked shield. <Foster> (I used the pipes, and I got petrified!) <Fordran> "Foster... ask them what just happened." * Vita looks a little overwhelmed and backs up into Pup * Foster concentrates for a moment, looks utterly drained, and then turns to the spirit speaker and addresses him in badly dubbed ooking. <Foster> "So. Have we ended your generations-old war?" <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "The Makumar, they are no more! Kumar will return!" <Vita> ("So. Have we opened a new chapter of bloodshed in your generations-old war?") <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "Yes, the war is over. We may search at our leisure for the Stone." <Fordran> "...The Stone." <Fordran> "Oh, from the legend." <DM> (You know, the Awakening thing) <Erias> "Wait, this part sounds interesting." <Foster> "If the makumar were to have captured any more kumarkin like us, do you know where they would have taken them?" <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "And if they are still alive, you can search for your companions in safety." <Erias> "So... they're all dead? Empty village? Nice." <Fordran> "So... that ritual you just performed. All the Makumar are dead now?" <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "If they were not eaten, then they could only be in one of the five villages." <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "Yes, the heart of the Alpha is the heart of the Makumar." <Erias> "Uh... yeah... we better go look for our guy." <Erias> "Maybe nap first." <Fordran> "Should we begin the search now? Or rest a night? If the Makumar are indeed dead, then they shouldn't be in any immediate danger." * Vita blinks a little at the whole "Makumar dead" thing <Apol> (yeah, a night of no water or food won't hurt POWs) <Foster> "Resting a night sounds best." <Fordran> (they'll have a powerbar) <Erias> "I'm good to go if you want to do that wand thing. But... some feasting is probably in order, right?" <Vita> (what time is it right now?) <Foster> "And Apol, do you still have that feather necklace?" <DM> <Spirit Speaker> (bad dub) "We will have a feast to celebrate your victory over the Makumar, and to herald the return of Kumar." <Foster> "One of the charms off of that could be used to send a message to Brynwhatever and inform him of our status." <Apol> (Um, actually I am not sure who took any of the jewelry) <DM> At this, most of the villagers rush off to prepare. <Erias> (I think that was one of the "someone should take it but we don't care who" items) <Foster> (at negligable weight, it's probably a safe assumption that someone has that pile of feather tokens in their bag. =\) <Erias> (Let's say Apol, if no one cares) <Vita> "Oh, um, but wouldn't it be pretty safe to look for the people now, who might be in danger....?" <DM> (Who are you addressing, Vita?) <Vita> (kind of half-heartedly the group in general) <Foster> "The only thing I'm really in danger of at the moment is collapsing from exhaustion." <Apol> (Oh, look! A feather necklace!) <Erias> "If it helps, I don't think there's much chance any prisoners are still alive." <Fordran> "We must have hope, Erias." <Foster> "Given their approach to our crewmen in the woods, I have little doubt that you're wrong, but we're still under contract." <Erias> "We must? Is that some sort of rule of nature?" * Fordran looks at Erias. <Fordran> "Erias, what is wrong?" <Erias> "It's a long list, but it's getting shorter. Let's figure out what we're doing." <Foster> (I'm playing for Team Evil now. I've become more powerful than you can ever imagine, in exchange for being a dick.) <Fordran> (it takes at LEAST a couple levels before you can go blackguard!) * Fordran looks at Erias with concern. <Erias> (Crap, the powerful part, I forgot about that.) <Foster> "Alright. Here's my plan. We get drunk, pass out, and wake up in the morning to search the hopefully now empty Makumar villages." <Fordran> "Remember, Erias. Pelor is our ally. Find strength in his light." <Erias> "No, Fordran. His light is gone. It vanished on the battlefield." * Fordran 's expression goes dark. * Vita looks at the two <Vita> "Maybe.... maybe the morning would be better." * Vita backs slowly away <Fordran> "I... excuse me." * Fordran turns around and wanders off. <Erias> "So... I believe drinking was mentioned." * Fordran looks for a part of the village which has some sunlight coming through the trees. * Apol looks confused. "Does that mean we are going out again?" <DM> Some villagers offer you mugs of melon wine. <Foster> "Not until tomorrow." <Vita> (to Apol) "I think we're waiting until tomorrow." * Erias downs a mug. <Vita> (What's Grith doing?) * Foster takes one, finds a log to sit on, and slugs it down. <DM> Fordran: Near the edges of the village, where the jungle hasn't been cleared. <Apol> (To Vita) "Ok. Are we going to take watch tonight in case they want to eat us?" <DM> Grith is looking at all of this uncomfortably. * Fordran kneels down and prays silently. <DM> He's eyeing the melon liquor. * Vita moves near Grith <Foster> (I'm sorry, atonement is a 5th level spell) <Fordran> (some barrels are being prepared specifically for grith.) <Fordran> (damnit, why isn't Geas a cleric spell?) <Foster> (Clr6 isn't a cleric spell?_ <Fordran> (oh, i was looking at lesser) * Vita takes some melon liquor if it is offered to her, but otherwise just finds a place to sit with pup and nervously pets/grooms him with her fingers <DM> Plenty of jungle fowl, tiger meat, roast mushrooms, berries, unidentifiable rooty things, etc at the feast. Lots of drunken revelry and drumming. * Apol cleans off the blood by having a dust bath. * Erias tries to learn how to drum, and tries to get at least a taste of everything. * Foster meanders along on his way to a semi-drunken stupor, pausing at some point to clean the majority of soot and blood off with a wet rag or something. <DM> They have jugs of river water in your hut. * Vita isn't too terribly bloody, but washes the smell of whatever picked her up at some point <DM> Oh yes, uh. Did someone heal Sam enough that he's conscious? Or just letting him sleep it off? :P * Fordran will handle that. <Fordran> (cure serious) <Fordran> |roll 3d8+8+6 <tafal> 26 | [3d8=12] [+8=8] [+6=6] (Fordran) <DM> <Sam> "Ow. Who's pounding my head?" <Foster> And at some point before I become too intoxicated, I grab a stick of charcoal and write a brief missive to Brynwylld informing him of our progress and our intent to return, task completed, within the next couple days. <Foster> Presumably, this can be dispatched by Feather Token (Bird) <DM> Ok. * Fordran takes none of the wine that is offered him, and only a few fruits and meats, and spends most of his time apart from the celebration. * Apol has, by this time, given Foster the feather necklace. * Erias drinks quite a lot. * Vita drinks a little, eats a moderate amount, and goes to bed at a reasonable hour. * Apol eats quite a lot. <Erias> (I'm good with a fast-forward whenever.) <Sam> (sorry but work just threw a major fucking curve, i'm out for the rest of the night) <Foster> (Fast-forward sounds good to me) <DM> (sec) <DM> *sleep jingle* * Fordran awakens with the dawn. <DM> Dawn breaks. <DM> Everything hurts. * Erias whimpers and clutches his head. * Fordran gets up, goes to where Erias is sleeping/passed out. <DM> Not a lot is going on at dawn when you awaken, Fordran. <DM> (Yes! CdG!) * Vita wakes up about an hour after dawn * Foster appears unnaturally limber for someone who's had the kind of day he had yesterday. <Fordran> (can you CdG with spells?) * Vita goes and communes with the trees for awhile or something hippie rangerish <DM> (Weaponlike spells, yeah) <Fordran> (hot) <Foster> (You can CdG with anything you can crit with) <Fordran> (quietly) "Erias." * Erias gropes for a blade that isn't there. <DM> Grith rolls over and snores. * Erias wakes up and winces. * Apol stays asleep. * Fordran looks down at Erias with a sad, serious expression. <Fordran> "Do you wish to come with me for morning prayers?" * Erias fully wakes up. <Erias> "Oh, hell." * Erias stands up slowly and gestures outside, eyeing the sleeping people. * Fordran looks at Erias for a moment, then steps outside, avoiding the still sleeping people. * Erias steps outside as well. <Erias> (Should we continue in main channel, or switch?) * Fordran looks up at the morning sky, and stretches. <DM> Main channel if you want, I can make another if you don't <Erias> "Fordran... I'm sorry." <Fordran> "You have no need to apologize to me, Erias." <Apol> (cue the violin music) <Erias> "I don't know what happened yesterday... but I still don't feel right." * Fordran gestures toward a clearing which is sunlit. * Fordran nods. * Erias looks at the clearing. <Fordran> "There is always a new day, Erias. Remember that. After every night, there is morning, and a new start." <Erias> "I have always appreciated your steadfast faith. And I will come with you, here. But I don't know... where I am, now." <Erias> (gg emo boy) * Fordran half-smiles. "You are here." <Fordran> (zomg /wrists) <Fordran> "Come. Let us greet the day." * Erias grimaces and walks to the clearing with Fordran. <Fordran> (blah blah praying) * Fordran resets his Spells Used list. <Erias> (sit, do stuff, etc) <DM> When you wake up, vita, Erias and Fordran are gone. <Fordran> (search check for a blood trail!) <Erias> (The only question is -- which one of them CdG'd the other?) * Vita will come back after some reasonable amount of time, and is only just outside camp * Apol gets up and bounds outside to see what food is left. * Foster winces against the light streaming in through cracks in the hut. <DM> Sam, covered in bandages dark with drying blood, continues sleeping soundly. <DM> Apol: There's a bowl of fruit outside the hut's curtain. * Erias still has evident unhealed wounds, btw. * Apol plunges snout into a melon. * Foster has a few bruises. * Fordran will start wanding people who are still injured after prayer. <Fordran> (actually, hell. i had tons of cures left before we went to bed. can i have just spent them?) <DM> (Sure) <DM> (Just roll em now, and distribute) <Fordran> (healing self) <Fordran> |roll 1d8+5+2 <tafal> 9 | [1d8=2] [+5=5] [+2=2] (Fordran) <Fordran> (perfect!) <Fordran> (healing erias) <Fordran> (checking maxes) <Fordran> |roll 2d8+8+4 <tafal> 22 | [2d8=10] [+8=8] [+4=4] (Fordran) <Fordran> (healing sam) <Fordran> |roll 2d8+8+4 <tafal> 19 | [2d8=7] [+8=8] [+4=4] (Fordran) <Fordran> (who else needs heals?) <Erias> (I'm good.) <DM> (I don't remember how low he is, so just let him know he's +24+22 later) <DM> (oh and +8 from sleep) <Foster> (Should be fine. Grith shouldn't be too bad) <Foster> (rather, Grith may need some) <DM> (Apol was down 30something) <Fordran> -> grith <Fordran> |roll 2d8+8+4 <tafal> 20 | [2d8=8] [+8=8] [+4=4] (Fordran) <Fordran> -> apol <Apol> (25 after the +8) <Fordran> |roll 3d8+8+6 <tafal> 27 | [3d8=13] [+8=8] [+6=6] (Fordran) <Fordran> (anyone else? i've got tons left.) <DM> Vita? <DM> (That Silverback Alpha could use some~) <Fordran> (*cough*) <DM> Ok, fastforward retcon back to morning. <DM> Fordran and Erias are finished with prayer * Fordran re-clears his spell list. <DM> Vita returns from her time in the jungle * Apol stops eating. <DM> Sam is gingerly removing his bloodsoaked bandages. <Foster> "Urgh. Remind me next time that mushrooms and melon-based moonshine are not an ideal combination for body reconstruction purposes." <DM> New, pale skin has grown back under the scars. <Vita> (sorry back) <DM> Grith continues snoring. <Foster> "I mean... what in the name of the gods did I eat last night?"' <DM> (K: N~) * Fordran goes to Sam and helps him with the de-bandaging. <Vita> (I was unhurt) <Vita> (and I don't think I have any of that) <Foster> (I don't want to know that badly~) * Erias is still squinting at the light a bit. <Foster> "So, I guess it's time to survey the destruction and see if we can find any survivors of the Kite." * Erias nods. * Vita nods <Fordran> "Do we know where the rest of their villages are? We only found the two." <Erias> "We probably should have gone last night, but I realize we were pretty worn out. Hopefully any survivors are still alive." * Vita watches Erias and Fordran <Foster> "The human body is a relatively resilient thing." <Fordran> "It's probably best that we got some rest. If there were still dangers lurking out there, I don't think we'd have been in any good condition to deal with it." <DM> (Okay, now that you've got a consensus, let's stop here, so at least you know what you're doing next.) <Fordran> (I cast Flamestrike) <DM> Okay... roll damage. * Vita says quietly "And we don't know for sure that the ritual really killed all the Mumarararari"
